Commissioning of complete mooring system FSRU Toscana

For safe side-by-side mooring, we delivered a complete mooring system to FSRU Toscana, which is moored about 22 km off the Italian coast between Livorno and Pisa, in the region of Tuscany.

Our engineers went to the FSRU to execute the pre-commissioning of all 6 pcs of double quick release mooring hooks. All hooks have explosion-proof capstans, remote release system, and ATEX certified load cells for continuous measurement of the mooring loads. They furthermore tested the central monitoring system in the control room, which shows alarms, visualization, and history of the load monitoring, and offers a release function for each and all hooks. This ensures optimal safety and operational efficiency.
